19000 visitors per year and counting...
15 August 2004
Site: Scottish Photographic Federation
The SPF website went live with a new face in January 2004. The menu system was improved in order to aid site navigation. The website has a database-driven content management system via which many parts of the website can be updated by anybody with the respective access rights.
The new site contains several event pages where new events can be posted via simple web forms that are displayed on many pages. The events outdate themselves - this means that no old events will ever be displayed.
People interested in photography can find out about Federation or Photography events, they can look for a camera club in their area, look at the latest photography competition results, or find out about the history of the Federation.
Before the face lift, on average, 180 people visited the SPF website per month. From January 2004, this number quickly increased to well over 1600 visitors per month, sometimes topping 2000 visitors.
The search results have improved too. Check it out and look out for the Scottish Photographic Federation.
